In recognition of the invaluable contributions of women across the Sultanate, National Bank of Oman (NBO) today will honor Omani Women’s Day with its female NBO cardholders at a special event at the Royal Opera House, Muscat.
NBO female cardholders will attend the special celebration this evening, which will feature music by the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra (ROSO) Ladies Chamber Ensemble and eight outstanding musicians from the Oman Oud Hobbyists Association, four of which are women. An exciting special guest performance will also be given by the talented and charismatic young singer, Balqees.
John Chang, General Manager and Chief Retail Banking Officer at NBO, said: “We are delighted to recognize our female customers with these tickets in what is a fitting tribute to the country’s support behind women’s empowerment. Omani Women’s Day is a special day on the Sultanate’s calendar, and this unique event at the Royal Opera House is a great way to celebrate the role females have played in advancing Oman’s economic growth and development. As a leading bank in the country, we consider it our responsibility to ensure that all women have access to the benefits of financial inclusion, and we hope to continue incentivizing them with rewards like this.”
National Bank of Oman has a long-standing commitment towards supporting women empowerment in the Sultanate, in line with the vision and direction of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. Last year, for example, the bank launched the pioneering Women@NBO initiative to deliver motivation, coaching and mentoring to NBO’s female employees.
