Inspired by the Sultanate’s majestic landscapes and heritage, the new space offers an immersive expression of Oman through High Perfumery
Amouage, the Omani High Perfumery House, has opened its first boutique in Indonesia at Plaza Indonesia, bringing its distinctive universe to one of Southeast Asia’s leading luxury destinations. Conceived as a destination for discovery, the boutique introduces visitors to the House’s creations, craftsmanship and distinctive identity through an experience designed to unfold beyond the fragrance itself.

A SPACE SHAPED BY STONE, LIGHT, AND SCENT
Compact in scale yet open in character, the new boutique draws on the country’s mountains, horizons, and distinctive archways, introducing an immersive space that reinterprets Oman through a contemporary architectural lens. Every element has been conceived to create a journey through the House, where landscapes become part of the fragrance storytelling and experience.
Travertine walls evoke the rugged textures of Oman’s mountain ranges, while walnut wood and brushed copper introduce warmth and refinement throughout the interior. Digital installations are seamlessly integrated into the architecture, emerging from within the stone to frame individual creations. Display tables, conceived as inverted pyramids, echo the country’s dramatic topography, their grooved surfaces lending rhythm and depth to the interior.

At the heart of the boutique, the Gift of Kings installation unfolds beneath a radiant central orb, with fragrances arranged in rays inspired by the Omani sun. Layers of arches create shifting perspectives throughout the space, while gentle illumination traces the silhouette of distant mountain peaks, recalling the changing light that shapes the Sultanate’s landscapes from sunrise to dusk.
Within this setting, visitors are invited to explore the breadth of the House’s olfactive universe, from the Odyssey Collection and The Essences to its latest creations and personalised fragrance experiences.
A NEW CHAPTER IN SOUTHEAST ASIA
The opening at Plaza Indonesia, a vibrant landmark at the heart of Jakarta’s luxury and lifestyle scene, establishes Amouage’s first standalone presence in Indonesia, introducing the House to one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic luxury markets. The boutique forms part of Amouage’s carefully considered retail network, bringing the House to destinations where clients are increasingly seeking originality, craftsmanship and a deeper engagement with High Perfumery.
“The most compelling markets for Amouage are those where fragrance already carries meaning beyond the product itself,” said Marco Parsiegla, Chief Executive Officer of Amouage. “Indonesia has a deep relationship with scent, craft and hospitality, and an increasingly sophisticated luxury clientele looking for depth and originality. That creates a strong natural resonance with Amouage and gives us real confidence in the role Indonesia can play in the House’s continued growth across Southeast Asia.”
A SHARED HERITAGE OF FRAGRANCE AND CRAFT
Indonesia’s luxury market is entering a period of sustained growth, with the country’s ultra-high-net-worth population forecast to rise by 82 per cent by 2031, the fastest rate among the major economies tracked in Knight Frank’s 2026 Wealth Report. Greater Jakarta is estimated to account for 70 to 75 per cent of domestic luxury spending, making the capital an important centre for the country’s evolving luxury landscape. Beyond these fundamentals, Indonesia is home to an increasingly knowledgeable clientele, one that is looking beyond conventional status symbols towards originality, authenticity and experiences that foster a deeper, more lasting relationship with the Houses they choose.
This evolution creates a natural affinity with Amouage. The House’s arrival in Indonesia reflects more than the expansion of its global boutique network; it marks a meeting of two cultures with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, heritage and the art of fragrance. In Indonesia, where fragrance has long held a meaningful place in personal expression and hospitality, a growing generation of luxury consumers is seeking creations with provenance, artistry and a distinctive point of view.
Rooted in Oman and inspired by its rich heritage as a historic crossroads of frankincense and trade, Amouage expresses an olfactive language that is deeply connected to its origins yet distinctly contemporary. In Jakarta, Indonesian clients are invited to experience High Perfumery through a different cultural lens, one where heritage is not preserved in the past, but continuously reinterpreted through creativity and craftsmanship.
The Amouage Boutique is located at Plaza Indonesia Level 2, and is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00.
