The Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disability (AEICD) was
recently honoured with a visit from Her Highness Sayyida Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al
Said. Several stakeholders, including Ooredoo Oman, responsible for upgrading the
organisation’s building’s sensory room, attended the event. A sensory room is a safe
space designed for children with developmental disabilities or sensory processing
difficulties. It benefits their cognitive development in a safe and calming environment
that builds up their confidence and learning abilities.
Aligned with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, Ooredoo is committed to
contributing to Oman’s economy and giving back to local communities, while the
latter is integral to the telco’s long established ‘Ooredoo Goodwill’ programme, its
broader Corporate Social Responsibility strategy. The agreement with Ooredoo to
upgrade the sensory room was signed in 2022 by the Honourary Sabah bint
Mohammed Al Bahlani, Chief Executive Officer of AEICD.
