With the aim of providing a platform to promote local musical talents, Kempinski Hotel Muscat launched the exciting Kempinski Concertini initiative in the warm setting of Amwaj Lounge.
Kempinski Concertini is a series of interactive mini-concerts, aimed at introducing international guests staying at the hotel to the local musical talents in the Sultanate.
“Our guests and attendees were swept away with this magical piano performance of this very talented young musician,” said Carsten Wiegandt, General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Muscat. “His beautiful performance cast a spell over the audience, and we are delighted to present our property as a stage to budding local musical talents in Oman as well as crafting memorable moments for our guest.”
Inspired by a family member and friend who both played the piano, 20-year-old Mohammed Khamis Al Abdulrahman Al Balushi started playing the piano at fifteen through online tutorials.
Kempinski Concertini was launched in 2017 to mark the 120th anniversary of the international chain, Kempinski Hotels and as one of the first luxury hotel groups in Europe, a commitment to the arts is an essential component of its role in the community. In addition to Kempinski Hotel Muscat, Kempinski Concertini events are held at several hotels around the world, most recently at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest, Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square in Vilnius and Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha, with more to come in future.
