Summer in Muscat can mean a lot of indoor mall-roaming and movies at home, so Team Oman Magazine decided a group getaway was in order to beat-the-heat and embrace the warmer weathers of summer. Looking online we decided that Jebel Sifah with it’s holiday-vibe and sea-breeze was the suitable spot for a weekend’s staycation.
‘Sifawy’ means those ‘from Sifah’, and is also the aptly named title of the delightful boutique hotel nestled in the community of Jebel Sifah. Priding itself on the surroundings where guests can stroll around the waterfront, the hotel is just 45 minutes away from Muscat City and boasts the ‘guaranteed get-away’ to tend to all your needs.
Having checked into the Marine Suite, our view was of bobbing yachts, swaying palms and the soft silence of the peaceful marina. The afternoon welcomed the undisturbed energy of the swimming pool’s sun loungers, poolside service and a pleasant playlist of chill-out music. Families, couples and groups were seen soaking up the sun (and chilled waters) of the perfect pool setting. For those looking for more of a St. Tropez party or Marbella-esque poolside party, some guests walked over to The Bank Beach Club where live DJ and an international crowd join for some fun-in-the-sun.
At Sifawy Boutique Hotel, the venue is the perfect base for a quiet getaway, with everything at your fingertips. Guests can stroll along the marina to enjoy various dining options from the hotel or its neighbours. With the picturesque Jebel Sifah all around you, it felt good to be at the core of Oman’s scenery. Overlooking the mountains with the evening’s breeze in our midst, the yachts stillness made for the perfect oil painting whilst the parties beyond were in full swing.
