Celebrating Jabal Akhdar’s rose harvest season, the Amouage Café presents a meticulously curated culinary journey, in which fragrance, flavour and dreams combine to create an unforgettable experience against the backdrop
of Oman’s majestic mountains.

Amouage, the independent Omani High Perfumery House, unveils the 2025 edition of its beloved Amouage Café. On this occasion, the creative inspiration for the café and its menu is the Jabal Akhdar mountain range, where, by a happy coincidence, the country’s famed Rock Rose is currently in bloom. Once again located in the breathtaking surroundings of Alila Jabal Akhdar, the café is open for one and all to enjoy its hospitality during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr – a generous invitation to savour a few moments of reflective peace in the presence of the rare Omani rose.

A Dessert Inspired by Oman’s Vistas
Always pushing boundaries and driving innovation, Amouage have collaborated with world-renowned pastry chef Roger Van Damme to bring to life an entirely novel and unique form for this year’s dessert – a confection sculpted into the shape of Oman’s picturesque Jabal Akhdar mountains. Six bespoke culinary marvels have been created, each made of a light ganache, cremeux, compote and spices, with an alluring, gradated colour finish. These tantalising ‘dessert peaks’ are composed of layer upon layer of harmoniously-balanced textures and tastes, as distinctive, surprising and memorable as the fragrances and landscapes that have inspired them. Based on some of Amouage’s most striking perfume compositions – Love Delight, Overture Woman, Guidance, Interlude Man, Outlands and Vanilla Barka – these tantalising confections contain ingredients selected to complement the identity of their corresponding fragrance.

Perfume Meets Flavour
The new desserts are part of a custom Amouage Café dining experience devised by chef Pankaj Walia of Alila. With a focus on the House’s iconic rose perfumes, the items on the menu reflect both regional influences and contemporary sensibilities – an entirely appropriate combination, given that the rose is seen as a symbol of Oman’s embrace of both the traditional and the modern. The inclusion of ingredients from Alila’s hydroponic garden contributes to the uniqueness of the experience, as does the menu card itself, designed by multidisciplinary Omani artist Ruqaiya Mazar.

An Elevated Experience at Alila Jabal Akhdar
Perched at 2,000 metres above sea level, the café evokes the blooms of the season. Flowing drapery, elegant textiles and plush accents create an atmosphere that mirrors the softness, as well as the unparalleled refinement of the rose.
The Amouage Café at Alila Jabal Akhdar welcomes guests daily from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM until 20th April, with a menu featuring savoury and sweet bites to break the Ramadan fast, and an array of starters, soups, main courses and desserts. In addition, the Amouage Café offers a selection of signature beverages, selected to complement each dish perfectly.
