Being able to complete a full marathon is a classic test for any runner. Taking place on January 14th, 2020, Al Mouj Muscat Marathon consists of a half marathon, 10K, 5K, and kids’ run offering options for runners at every level. Those planning to take part, better prepare if it’s your first Marathon rodeo as you’ve got a little over 2 months to go.
Those of you that have firmly etched the race in your calendars, the hard part is almost over. Even though you’ve done all your training, be open to adopting new strategies and plans as it will save you from avoiding rookie mistakes. Revered by locals and GCC regionites the 42.2KM race is an incredible achievement to attempt.
As the date is approaching, here are our tips to help you with some last-minute preparations. Firstly, keep hydrated with copious amounts of H20. Be sure to load up on carbs as your muscles need glycogen, to prevent your body from total shut down. Find a moment to create an epic playlist, with upbeat tracks that will keep you focused, inspired, and boost the much-needed push all the way to the finish line. Most importantly, try to have fun and relish the highs and lows of this memorable experience.
