Hormuz Grand Hotel at Airport Heights is giving a taste of the little things in life. And we love it.
This Ramadan, the hotel served a lovely iftar at the Straits Restaurant on the ground floor. The iftar is undeniably among the best Ramadan buffets in Muscat.
The iftar consisted of a selection of cold and hot mezze, which included spinach fatayer, spring rolls and meat kibbeh, along with Mediterranean dips, a soup corner and a separate dedicated salad station, and a selected on in-house baked bread to go with cheese and butter, and surprisingly a sushi corner too.
The mains were perfectly planned to suit everyone’s palate. There were lots of good dishes but the lamb ouzi takes the crown. The grilled beef medallions, kebab kofta, seafood barley, shish tawook, koshari, dal makhni, shawarma are all on display, to name a few.
Hormuz Grand has always stunned us with their dessert counter, and this time was no exception. Truly their participation in sweets has always taken us to a sweet coma. Form the hazelnut choux, chocolate mousse and orley cake to Omani halwa ice cream and a refreshing karak tea on the side — all deliver a delightful experience.
As diners savour the best of flavours, live oud will be setting the atmosphere in the background. At Straits, the serve is impeccable, which promises a lovely dining experience. Come here for your last iftar and thank us later. The iftar is priced at OMR 18 per person and is open from Maghreb prayers to 9pm during the holy month.
