Omani fashion photographer and designer Muayad Ali Al Mughairy has dropped his latest collection titled Futuristic Soul, blending a mix of sportswear and contemporary ready-to-wear pieces for both men and women.
The young designer unveiled his brand ‘Bin Ali Designs’ at Muscat Bay with an amazing fashion show against Oman’s natural backdrop. The event was attended by Omani public figures and social media influences from the Gulf to celebrate the launch and to support the talented designer on his latest journey.
Known locally as just ‘Bin Ali’, the designer succeeded in designing an edgy, sporty-collection that screams young, creating a buzz in town and beyond borders, with a number of public figures endorsing his creativity and passion for design. Some celebrities that wore his pieces include football player Ahmad Kano, tennis sensation Fatima Al Nabhani, influencers Haneen Al Busaidi and Ali Awad, to name a few.
The young designer took his street-style approach to design pieces that celebrate his artistic identity.
“ I wanted to mix between sport, high fashion and street style by incorporating interesting materials such as plastic fabrics. It is a collection that tell stories from the past and the future” said the designer, adding that he loves to mix a variety of materials to create a piece. In his latest collection, you’d spot women abayas with bold cuts, soft fabrics stitched with leather, and cotton varieties.
Currently, Bin Ali has a standalone store at Mazoon Street in Al Khoudh, with future plans to expand his collections to other parts of Muscat and hopefully beyond.
