Our recent family getaway to COMO Uma Canggu was a truly magical experience, offering the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and luxury. Located on Bali’s south coast, this easy-going, oceanside resort is just footsteps from the surf and immerses you in the buzzing beach culture of Canggu. From our morning beach walks to Alissa’s kite-flying adventure, every moment felt special, and we left with cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Each day began with serene morning walks along the beach, where the soft sand and gentle waves provided a peaceful start to the day. For our little one, Danilo, the highlight was his very first experience with the ocean. Watching him feel the cool waves wash over his feet was truly magical—a moment we’ll treasure forever.
COMO Uma Canggu’s Play by COMO program was a hit with our daughter, Alissa. The daily activities, such as cooking, painting, and crafting, kept her entertained and inspired. Play by COMO is complimentary for all hotel guests, and while most activities are included, there are a few that come with a surcharge.
One of the most memorable moments for Alissa was crafting her very own kite, which she proudly flew on the beach. Watching her chase it through the sand with sheer joy was one of the most memorable moments of our trip.
The resort offers two beautiful pools that are perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. The oceanfront pool provides stunning views of the coastline, offering a serene place to relax while enjoying the ocean breeze. The lagoon-style pool provides a tranquil retreat, surrounded by lush greenery, perfect for a leisurely swim or simply lounging by the water. After a refreshing dip, we enjoyed the incredible dining options both at the hotel and nearby, sampling healthy cuisine that was as delicious as it was nourishing. Whether dining poolside or enjoying a meal in the resort’s restaurant, every meal was a delightful experience.
We also loved exploring the vibrant food scene just beyond the resort. Canggu is home to a vast selection of amazing restaurants, many just a short walk from COMO Uma Canggu. From laid-back beachfront cafes to stylish spots offering international cuisine, there was no shortage of delicious dining experiences to try. It was such a treat to be able to step out and discover something new each day—whether we were craving smoothie bowls, fresh seafood, or artisanal pizza.
Our stay was made even more special by our spacious one-bedroom residence, which not only offered comfort and convenience but also had stunning views of the ocean. The room’s prime location allowed us to enjoy the beauty of the sea each day, and it was the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The room was well-equipped with everything we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen and thoughtful touches like a bottle sterilizer for Danilo. It was a serene retreat after a day of exploration.
Ogi absolutely loved the gym at COMO Uma Canggu. The resort features a well-equipped fitness centre, ideal for keeping up with wellness routines even while on holiday. With two Pilates studios and two yoga studios on-site, it’s a haven for fitness enthusiasts. Whether it was an early morning workout or a rejuvenating yoga session, Ogi found this space to be the perfect balance of energy and calm.

The resort truly felt like a home away from home, combining relaxation with adventure, and luxury with family-friendly experiences.
