Introducing Chic Brasserie Eugène Eugène; Cantonese restaurant Xu; live music venue Aretha; an redefined Lana Lusa, second servings of the award-winning Ninive and Madeleine & Marcel, and an exciting new collaboration to be revealed in the coming days.

The restaurant group – which already includes award-winning venues in Dubai such as La Cantine du Faubourg, Lana Lusa, Ninive, Gohan, Twiggy, Tagomago, the MICHELIN Guide-selected Mimi Kakushi, Madeleine & Marcel, Kyma and Chez Wam, this year’s hottest new opening in the city – will see seven new Dubai restaurants join their collection – each one independently overseen by RIKAS’ talented Executive Chef Gilles Bosquet – before the end of the year.
A stunning Chic & Modern brasserie for the city, Eugène Eugène is slated for a September launch – Eugène Eugène will open in the Kempinski Mall of the Emirates, adding a touch of elegance to the hotel. Inspired by Greenhouses, Eugène Eugène is a unique garden in the heart of the city creating a delightfully bright space to enjoy a coffee, lunch with colleagues, a leisurely afternoon tea, out-of-office work space, cocktail or dinner. The menu, crafted by chef Yanis Sgad, presents a selection of authentic dishes, each prepared with the freshest and finest ingredients with a modern twist. Connoisseurs can delight in an array of options: Truffle and Artichoke spinach, vanilla Tomato Tartare, mouthwatering Osso Bucco saffron risotto, sea bream a la plancha, foie gras and duck salad, pistachio souffle and Red fruit pavlova.
RIKAS Group will also welcome its first Cantonese restaurant and bar to the collection with the opening of Xu in October. The second collaboration with MAF – also located in Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates – Xu whisks diners to the cool subcultures of China’s big cities. The chic meets seedy, neon-style interiors make you feel like you’ve entered another world, while the menu features a range of Cantonese specialties, executed with precision by Chef Min Wei Lai. With a special attention to it’s musical direction, Xu is meant to be the new happening place & coolest kid in town.
Also, at the end of October, beloved Portuguese restaurant Lana Lusa is set to relocate from its Wasl 51 position, to an elegant and licensed location on the Dubai Water Canal within Four Seasons Private Residences Dubai at Jumeirah. Lana Lusa will retain the authentic atmosphere and beautiful Portuguese touches that guests have come to expect from the award-winning restaurant, but with a new, fine-dining experience to match its unique and exclusive location. Its stunning terrace, overlooking the Canal, will now be the perfect locale for sophisticated sundowners.
Following two previous collaborations with Nakheel – Kyma and Chez Wam – RIKAS Group is delighted to announce two more venues opening under this partnership. A second Madeleine & Marcel French patisserie is set to open at the end of September at the glass-framed observation deck The View at the Palm, and one other new venue to be announced soon.
Next, Aretha is set to open its doors in The St. Regis Garden, Palm Jumeirah. The new restaurant, bar and lounge – inspired by the era of sixties soul and funk music– Aretha is poised to become the hot new live music venue and party destination in the city.
Meanwhile, a second outpost of the beloved Middle Eastern restaurant Ninive is set to open before the year in the luxurious five-star resort of Bab Al Shams, following the resort’s takeover by the Kerzner Group. Recreating the stunning surrounds of a Bedouin tent, Ninive at Bab Al Shams promises much of the same ambiance and flavour as the original in Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Expect elevated Middle Eastern, north African & Anatolian cuisine, shisha, and an expertly-crafted cocktail menu all served within an enchanting urban majlis.
