Its striking interiors and glamorous contemporary cuisine are complemented by an extensive selection of fine South African wines boasting the largest offering in Dubai. The menu curated for the dinner series features a variety of classic starters such as the decadent Prawn Arancini, paired with “Seriously Cool” Chenin Blanc, mains including the famous Calamari Mozambique in its luscious lemon butter, paired with Sauvignon Blancand the Pavlova Bomb for dessert, served with Cape Coral Rosé. Each dish carefully selected to accentuate a different vintage and create exceptional flavor contrasts.
Located in Schapenberg (Afikaans for ‘Sheep Mountain’) nestled almost in the centre of the embrace of the Hottentots-Holland and Helderberg mountains, Waterkloof Wine Estate produces award-winning fine wines with a sense of place. Founder Paul Boutinot led the development and preservation of the vineyard focusing on natural biodynamic farming and was awarded Champion Status by the World Wildlife Fund’s Biodiversity & Wine Initiative in May 2008. Louis Boutinot, the son of the winemaker, will be present at the event to guide guests through this tasting journey.
