Grand Hyatt Muscat never fails on its promise to #GoGrand and Executive Chef Ilias Doulamis, who hails from Greece, has made sure that quality is delivered in every dish (even if their hospitality team can’t welcome you in person just yet).
Whilst the properties restaurants remain closed until further notice, that has not stopped the Executive Chef and his culinary team from devising a delicious delivery menu, available for collection or drop off. Boasting a host of signature Hyatt classics, foodies may now enjoy their favourite dishes in the comfort of their homes; from classic stone-baked pizzas at Tuscany – Grand Hyatt’s award-winning Italian restaurant, to pan-seared salmon and prime cuts from Mokha Cafe.
Team Oman Magazine decided to put to the test a few of the most famous dishes from Mokha Cafe and Tuscany. Heading to the iconic lobby of Grand Hyatt Muscat with a smile in tow, we soon headed home to unwrap our flavourful feast.
Let’s start with the pan-seared salmon. Incredibly succulent and served on a bed of summery warm quinoa with asparagus. Very light and perfect for those looking for a lighter alternative for this mellow summer evenings.
Next up is the pizza and let us just start by saying this is the real-deal. The dough base is perfectly light and fluffy, with just the right level of ‘bite’. Stone-baked in a classic forno, these are wood-fired, hand-crafted, Neapolitan thin crust large pizzas that come out perfect every time. What’s even better is Grand Hyatt Muscat is offering a generous Summer Offer for Tuscany Pizzas. Pizzas are available at 50% off with 2 canned soft drinks, available from 4PM – 11 PM daily. That’s one sure reason to make us #GoGrand and enjoy 5-star flavours for a fraction of the price. We cannot recommend this enough (You can thank us later!).
When it comes to desserts, Grand Hyatt Muscat has long been known for its opulent afternoon teas and eye-catching dessert stations at ever-popular weekend brunches and annual celebrations. Feeling in the mood for something fruity, we opted for their Mango Cheesecake with Meringue Sticks. The New York cheesecake base is richly dense and creamy, complimented by a contrasting mango jus with fresh chunks of mango, offering a tangy, lighter edge to the sweet. Utterly inviting indeed.
Whilst we await the grand re-opening of one of our favourite properties in the Sultanate, we can still enjoy the flavours via delivery or takeout. (Of course, you could also head over for a staycation in the city and check-in for 5-star flavour to your room or suite too!).
