Team Oman Magazine, like many of us, had tired of home-cooking after almost three months in lockdown and decided to try out Chulha Oman and their signature Chicken Biryani, paired with a fresh appetiser of classic Chicken Tikka pieces.
Let’s dig in, shall we?
The food arrived piping hot to our doorstep (we’re off to a good start!) and enveloped our home with the fresh aroma of Indian cuisine cooked correctly. The dishes were non-greasy, fragrant and topped perfectly with crispy onions and vibrant green freshly-cut coriander.
Similarly, the tikka pieces were oh-so-succulent and presented the perfect aromatic flavours of tikka. Every mouthful offered juicy morsels of flavoursome tikka chicken; just as it should be. (We should probably mention that at just OMR 2.7 this is a real steal!).
We are yet to try out the rest of Chulha’s menu, but what we can say is that it features a whole host of vegetarian, chicken and mutton options, as well as a variety of appetisers for a larger feast from curries to kebabs and biryanis. Our Chulha Chicken Biryani was perfect for two persons and was mild in spice; ideal for those who are not accustomed to fiery flavours.
