During the current Covid-19 crisis, Amal Al Raisi’s atelier is still operating with reduced staff in compliance with Government regulations. To try and help the situation, Amal’s atelier is manufacturing and distributing reusable face masks made from deadstock fabric. These are non-medical general use masks as part of precautionary hygiene protocols. They will be producing approximately 200 masks per week and giving these out free of charge with online orders and distributing them to organizations in Oman that help those in most need.
Amal Al Raisi says ‘We are all feeling the effects of the current crisis but I believe that if we stand together, we rise together. I want to help the situation in whatever way possible so we are manufacturing and distributing reusable face masks to organizations in Oman that help those in most need. These are not medical masks but they can help people to avoid touching their face while out in public. I’d like to encourage everyone to utilize this period of time to focus on their health and have empathy for others. We are all in this together and will emerge stronger than before’.
Amal Al Raisi is also supporting small businesses in Oman by sharing their profiles on her Instagram stories, to spread the word to her followers and provide these small business owners a platform to reach more customers.
