Calling all art aficionados out there, here’s an opportunity to appreciate some of the most important paintings of the Cuzquenian Art School Cusco 2019.
The historical Belmond Hotel Monasterio, located in the city of Cuzco, is a perfect example of the finely preserved Colonial Renaissance style. The building houses an excellent painting collection of the best artists from the 18th century Cuzquenian Art School that can be seen on the art tour.
The tour offers a visit of the hotel’s interior, guided by a specialist in religious art and history who describes the most relevant characteristics of the paintings that adorn the hotel walls. In addition, the visit to the Chapel of San Antonio Abad and its magnificent gold-plated altar will allow guests to discover the ancient secrets of this seminary and pieces rarely seen by the public.
Truly, one of Peru’s best independent art collections. The Art Tour is available daily year round between 11am to 4pm, prior reservation only.
The cost is USD 30.00 per person.
Visit www.Belmond.com for bookings and reservations.
