Bindera Village hosted its highly anticipated afternoon market at the maritime field of Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) from April 5 to 8, 2019, and it was quite unmissable.
Founded by media personality Jaifar Al Khabouri, Bindera Village brought an exciting and vibrant market for a fifth time, with an aim to showcase and celebrate the best of Oman and Gulf’s SME projects though exhibition and family-friendly activations.
This season, the exhibition included a number of projects that exhibit a variety of talents from the Sultanate and its neighbouring countries. The event had a variety of stalls and section that showcase a number of industries such as dining, crafts and fashion. Some of the highlights included a section for jewellery, textiles and women’s clothing, where fashionable abayas with interesting designs and cuts were on display.
For lovers of sweet-smelling aromas, a dedicated section of perfumes was on offer, promising the best of scents to the market’s visitors. From homemade incense to perfumed oil, bottled fragrances and Oud infusions, there was a scent for the pickiest of people.
If material goods are not your cup of tea, and you’re here for the food, then worry not, as Bindera Village had a number of popular homegrown stalls that served finger-licking good treats and baked goods, with a favourite being Aches for Cakes, where I had a couple of lovely chocolate-covered brownies.
The exhibition was attended by many social media influencers from Oman and around the gulf, which added a touch of creativity and colourful energy to the event. And, it continues to attract tons of visitors every year. It is a wonderful place for lovers of shopping and exploring things that are new and exciting in town.
