Our new offerings reflect these changing dynamics and our commitment to keep their interests at the centre of our business. The WhatsApp proposition is a demonstration of our philosophy of ‘One Step Ahead’. Introducing the proposition, Addal Sarwar, Director – Retail, Al Ahlia Insurance Co., Oman said, “We want to make insurance as simple and as accessible as possible, so we have to be where our consumer is, and in today’s world, that’s WhatsApp. If a customer wants to purchase or renew a policy, all they need to do is WhatsApp us on 98883272. They can send us all their documents from their phone and choose from a range of accessible payment options.
“We understand that WhatsApp is the most used social media platform in Oman, and one of the least utilised in business. For us, WhatsApp is a great platform that is accessed by over a million users daily in the Sultanate. We look forward to offering many more firsts and revolutionise the insurance sector in the Sultanate of Oman.” he added.
Once a customer gets in touch via the WhatsApp number, they will be offered a wide range of products to suit their needs to choose from based on their requirements. When a customer completes their inquiry and receives the quote for their desired product, they can make their payment by using their debit card, credit card via IVR or a secure payment gateway. Alternatively, they can also do a bank transfer and send a screenshot of the transaction confirmation to the insurance agent via WhatsApp. The customer can choose to get the policy on WhatsApp, registered e-mail id or by walking into their nearest Al Ahlia Insurance branch.
