Local residents and guests will have the chance to enjoy relaxed beachside dining and free-flowing beverages with live tunes from an authentic Bavarian Oompah band during Oktoberfest. Furthermore, not one but two guest chefs including Chef Manolo Masconi, known for his acrobatic pizza tossing techniques and Chef Peter Lyoyd, owner and Head Chef of Sticky Mango will be making an appearance at the resort to offer guests incredible gastronomic experiences at Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara.
October will welcome German spirits with Oktoberfest on 11th and 12th as the resort’s beachside restaurant, Al Mina transforms into a German market with festive stalls decorated in Bavarian colour. Live performances from 7:30pm onwards by Bavarian Stevie’s Oompah band, flown in especially form Munich for the occasion, will create a buzzing atmosphere. Guests can sport their best lederhosen and enjoy authentic German grub while they dance the evening away to traditional Bavarian music in celebration of the world’s largest Volksfest.
During November, renowned for his acrobatic tossing techniques and unique cooking performances, Chef Manolo Mosconi will host The Great Taste and Toss on 1st of the month from 7:00pm till 11:30pm. Using fresh and unique ingredients, the Chef will showcase his creations by preparing authentic Italian pizza while entertaining all with his dance performances and humorous jokes to keep the evening light and fun. Guests can further dive into a delicious buffet with live stations and free-flow hops and bubbles during the show. Additionally, a special menu of his pizzas will be available from 2nd to 4th November to indulge in after The Great Taste and Toss has concluded.
In light of celebrating Loy Krathong festival, also known as the Thai festival of lights where in people release a Krathong (light lantern) as an offering to the river spirits, Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara welcomes Peter Lloyd, Owner and Head Chef of Sticky Mango who will be bringing his signature dishes to the menu of Mekong from 12th -24th November. Sticky Mango restaurant from the UK is remarkably renowned in UK’s culinary scene and has caught on high interest within the region. Keeping in line with the Thai festivities, the resort brings the same Asian experience with Chef Lloyd as he shares his signature dishes in a special Far East buffet on the 21st of November and a set menu shared Thai style on the 23rd of November. The evening of the latter will also showcases traditional Thai dance and floating krathongs for good luck.
