Season after season, Grand Hotel Tremezzo never fails to capture hearts and imagination of the world’s most inspired travelers. It is, to this day, Italy’s best kept secret.
The hotel’s beacon of light and General Manager, Silvio Vettorello, perfectly embodies such gilded character, loved by guests for his warmth and welcoming spirit, undisputed class, and passionate knowledge about Lake Como’s history and treasures.
Celebrating another season, offering a wealth of unforgettable experiences, including the delight of a stay at Villa Sola Cabiati. Once the incredible 18th-century residence of the Dukes of Serbelloni, the villa is now managed by the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, continuing the Italian tradition of refined hospitality. Starting March 9th, guests can have the villa exclusively to themselves, spending a minimum of three nights lavishing in the privilege, elegance and grandeur of times past. Six fascinating suites, a large garden-park with a swimming pool, and rooms frescoed by followers of Tiepolo will be entirely – and only – at the guests’ disposal for candle-lit dinners prepared by our private chef.
In the morning, after the beautiful golden rays of dawn light up the day, a classic motorboat will be at the ready for a private excursion to discover the pearls of Lake Como. Once back on shore, all the services of Grand Hotel Tremezzo await – just a stone’s throw from the villa – including its luxurious spa, delicious restaurants and refreshing swimming pools. As they enjoy these very services, strolling through the hotel’s historic park, guests will discover the new Winter Garden, inspired by ancient greenhouses, the perfect location for private events, concerts, conferences and runway shows.
With such intimate, romantic spaces devoted to the impeccable traditions of 5-star luxury, the hotel is also a picture-perfect setting for a wedding unlike any other. Brides and grooms will soon learn about this possibility from Italy’s most important wedding planners who, on March 12th and 13th, discovered the infinite treasure chest of possibilities that a unique location such as the Grand Hotel Tremezzo and Lake Como has to offer.
On the subject of treasures, it must not be forgotten that the Grand Hotel Tremezzo has the privilege of offering dishes from master chef Gualtiero Marchesi. One of those dishes truly shines, his inimitable “Rice and Gold”, which will be accompanied by a special certificate starting this year, a keepsake to remind guests of a delightfully special “Italian moment”. Shaping plenty of memorable moments and radiant atmospheres for months to come is yet another sprinkling of gold dust: the coveted “Golden Keys”awarded to the Concierge of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo.
Tasked with interpreting the style of the historic palace, they excel at recommending extraordinary experiences to make vacations on Lake Como unforgettable: from the thrilling beauty of a walk along one of Italy’s most impressive trails to the peak of San Martino, to a grand tour of the noble villas of the
Larius Lacus to admire the artistic masterpieces they contain.
In the right hands, the golden keys open the doors to pure joy and reveal the places where beauty has always been right at home. Notes for the press: The Grand Hotel Tremezzo opened its doors in 1910, at the peak of the Belle Epoque. The family which owns the hotel todaymanages one of the most enchanted locations on Lake Como, with a spectacular panoramic view of Bellagio, the Riviera delle Azalee and the stunning rocky pinnacles of Le Grigne. All 90 rooms and suites are characterized by a breath-taking view of the lake or the centuries-old, 20,000 square meter park.
The refined T Spa and elegant top-floor rooftop suites were designed by renowned architecture studio Venelli Kramer. The spa offers more than 1,000 square meters of space dedicated to lake-inspired wellness exclusively featuring ESPA products. With its splendid covered pool featuring a panoramic view, luxurious treatment rooms, a nail studio, an ultra-private “Spa Suite”and a precious Orient-inspired Hammam, a new area completes out the facilities with a sauna overlooking the lake, a steam room and a Mediterranean steam room. Rendering it even more special are the perfectly-preserved rooms of 18th-century Villa Emilia, with frescoed ceilings and mosaic floors. The finely-decorated rooftop suites offer a private terrace, outdoor jacuzzi, butler service and a panoramic view of the lake. The hotel has three pools: WOW (Water on the Water), a floating pool just in front of a private beach; the Flowers Pool, surrounded by beautiful flower gardens; and the Infinity Pool that’s part of T Spa.
