Millennium Hotels and Resorts, Middle East and Africa continues with its successful expansion strategy by announcing the 5-star 316-key property in Turkey. After the successful launch of Millennium Istanbul Golden Horn operating 127 keys, the group will operate its second Turkish property, Grand Millennium Konya City. Now recognised as one of the fastest growing regional hotel management companies in the Middle East & Africa, Millennium Hotels & Resorts currently operates 35 hotels, with 14 hotels due to open in 2018 and 40 hotels in the pipeline across the region.
Located south from Ankara and one hour flight away from Istanbul, Konya is the seventh most populated city in Turkey with a metropolitan population of over 2.2 million. Located on one of the main roads leading to Konya Airport, Grand Millennium Konya City is five kilometers away from the historical city center. It will accommodate 316 rooms and suites as well as outstanding amenities including a state-of-the-art spa that spans over 4,000 sqm, two indoor swimming pools and the largest meeting space in Konya with over 6,500 sqm through in-house meeting rooms, ballroom and large convention center. The F&B outlets at the hotel will include an all-day dining restaurant, Italian restaurant, bistro café, irish pub, lobby lounge and a rooftop bar.
