Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) has introduced a new era of smartphone photography with the launch of the HUAWEI P20 Pro in Oman today, featuring a 40 MP Leica Triple Camera with Master AI. The event held at the Kempinski Hotel in AlMouj Muscat, one of the latest and trendiest hotel destinations, brought together all Huawei stakeholders, VIP guests and media to witness the unveiling of an inspiring and impressive addition to the HUAWEI P Series. The HUAWEI P20 Pro delivers powerful yet effortless intelligent photography experience powered by AI, allowing consumers to see more through the innovative camera. For the first time and exclusively in Oman, Huawei lit the Kempinski hotel exterior with twilight colors reflecting the unique color the HUAWEI P20 Pro comes in. The event also had ‘Experience Stations’ providing innovative ways to consumers to compare their own device with today’s smartphone camera king – HUAWEI P20 Pro. The hands-on personalised experience enabled the guests to immediately see in real-time the phone’s intelligent camera capabilities and why it deserves ‘the best smartphone camera’ title in the market.
The Experience Station had four unique experiential zones purposefully created to bring to life its extraordinary features for a hands-on engagement like no other. From understanding the power of AI photography, to experiencing the camera’s outstanding low light photography for night shots, the demo-based zones helped the guests and media experience just how the HUAWEI P20 Pro will enhance their photography skills in one simple shot.
The Master AI Photography zone allows one to test the AI-powered real-time scene and object recognition technology which automatically recognizes more than 500 scenarios in 19 categories and selects photography modes such as a cat or greenery. Once an object or a scene is identified, Huawei P20 PRO will automatically adjust to give a result which looks close to professional-photography. A common concern with today’s camera functionality lies with night time photography, and the station’s innovative low light photography set-up really helps you see the difference between HUAWEI P20 Pro’s night shot and your current device. The test area is dark, and cleverly captures a range of night time elements, where guests are asked to capture the stunning beauty of Oman’s night sky. The test result is fairly outstanding with HUAWEI P20 Pro producing exquisite detail in every image giving some of the most vibrant, clear and detailed shots.
To further establish its credentials, the smartphone’s AI stability helps people capture beautiful shots in fast-paced environment like a glass of liquid that was twirled and gusts were asked to take a video. To demonstrate this, the zone captures high intensity movement as you test your own device against the Huawei’s P20 Pro’s AIS (AI Image Stabilization), resulting in incredibly steady and blur-free video footage on the Huawei P20 Pro.
Another unique experience station looked at the P20 Pro’s outstanding ‘Super Slow Motion’ technology, which captures fast movements in high definition and slows them down to 960 frames per second, capturing mesmerising details too quick for the eye to see.
