The prestigious Grand Hotel Tremezzo, situated on Lake Como reopened for the new year in March. For guests looking for a royal and memorable experience, 2018 has also witnessed the opening of Villa Sola Cabiati. The historic villa is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful residences on the shores of Lake Como and is only a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
Built in the 16th century, this magnificent villa was transformed as a summer abode by the Dukes of Serbelloni in the 18th century. It still features frescoed rooms, ornate stucco work, vast arabesque gardens and pretty blue shutters. The ground and first floors showcase the family’s original furnishings while the top floor hosts a private museum that is open by appointment. The museum displays violins, fine china, and furnishings from Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan, where Napoleon Bonaparte and his wife stayed briefly.
A stay in the villa is nothing short of a majestic experience; The villa can accommodate up to 12 guests making it ideal for large family groups and can be exclusively booked for a minimum of three nights. The private haven comes complete with daily à la carte breakfast, 24-hour butler service, a dedicated chambermaid and housekeeper, two heated outdoor swimming pools, high speed WiFi, and laundry (excluding dry cleaning), as well as a private dock for boats.
Villa guests also gain access to the lush front garden, tennis court and T-fitness gym. Alongside, they can rejuvenate at T Spa or simply relax on the private beach. Guests also get maximum two complimentary roundtrip transfers per day between the villa and the hotel. The starting package for the villa is €6,000 per night (excluding 10% VAT) and can go up to €10,000 per night (excluding 10% VAT) during the peak seasons.
