Fashion Exclusive UAE announces Amal Al Raisi’s participation at Torino Fashion Week (TFW) in association with SABCO Group. Amal Al Raisi presented her Autumn/Winter 2017 collection on July 3rd, 2017 as part of TFW modest fashion category, produced by the Islamic Fashion & Design Council (IFDC). The modest fashion category presented the best of modest fashion trends to key media, buyers, influencers and fashion industry insiders interested in this growing market.
After the catwalk shows, an awards ceremony was held for the best IFDC Designers, where Amal Al Raisi was awarded 2nd place in the Luxury Awards category by Sommet International de la Mode. Her prize includes a trip to Paris to display her collection in front of buyers, press and top luxury companies.
‘I’m thrilled to have been selected by the Islamic Fashion & Design Council to showcase my Autumn/Winter 2017 collection at Torino Fashion Week. I presented my AW17 ready-to-wear collection with modest styling and launched modest looks that I designed exclusively for TFW. The Autumn/Winter 17 collection captures a timeless sensibility through fluid silhouettes and luxurious details exuding modern femininity. The sophisticated color palette consists of white, blush, burgundy and navy while fine pinstripes in silver and bronze illustrate the graphic lines representative of Omani architecture. Fabrics are contrasted to modern effect in delicate cotton, velvet and mesh. Lightweight textiles accommodate winter in the Gulf region while warm Silhouettes are relaxed yet elegant with a nod to pyjama dressing. Intricate embellishments depict Omani archways and architecture in fresh oases hues.
