To mark the end of the summer and the beginning of the gorgeous Dubai weather, the iconic Legends restaurant at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club launched the ‘Laidback BBQ Pool Saturdays’ which take place every Saturday from noon to 3:30pm.
The perfect way to end the weekend, guests can unwind and feel relaxed. Each table receives a picnic basket filled with starters of bread, dips, spreads and salads to share on arrival and then indulge in a delicious selection of BBQ meats and seafood cooked live on the outdoor terrace followed by a decadent dessert selection to end the meal.
So, how was our experience?
We arrived as two couples, one in our twenties and one in our forties, with two adorable little kids in tow. Upon arriving to Legends at the picturesque Dubai Creek, the children squealed in delight at the complimentary pool access and the swirling candy floss machine; Legends is definitely a winner for families!
We enjoyed the very freshest salads, dips and aperitivo before heading to the outdoor grill for our preferred meats, seafood or vegetable grill options. Here’s a small overview of what’s available:
Sharing Boards: Roast Beef & Asparagus, Bruschetta with Tomato, Rye Bread with Meats, Salmon Blinis.
Salad Pods: Potato & Cauliflower, Tomato Caprese & Homemade Slaw.
For the grill: Lamb Chops, Mini Slider Burgers, Hot Dogs, Shrimp Skewers, Vegetable Skewers with Bell Pepper & Mushroom, Meat Skewers & Steak.
For afters: Crepes, Candy Floss, Afternoon Tea Dessert Station comprising of; carrot cake, chocolate mousse, jam roly-poly, chocolate squares, cheese platter with wafer thins and grapes.
After the mouthwatering feast, we chilled out for the rest of the afternoon at the cocktail bar while reveling in the best of eclectic retro sounds by resident DJ Tikki. If you fancy cooling off in the resort style swimming pool before or after the BBQ, you may do so, ensuring a relaxing Saturday afternoon on the Legends terrace, with its amazing views of the stunning Dubai Creek.
