Enigma’s second act will introduce Nordic cuisine to the region for the first time with 2 Michelin-starred chef Björn Frantzén, who will combine innovation and traditional preservation methods in a modern-day take on Scandinavian heritage. The journey will reflect the ever changing seasons of Scandinavia while expressing the purity, freshness and simplicity associated with the region. The Journey of a Nordic Chef will be an interactive experience divided into a “Prologue” and subsequent “Chapters”, just like a real story extracted from a book.Enigma is the first restaurant in the world to change its dining concept and world-class chefs four times a year, taking discerning diners and gastronomists on an unexpected multi-sensory journey, with each new chapter ingeniously unfolding before their eyes.
The story of Vanguard is currently playing out at Enigma featuring botanist and Chef, Quique Dacosta and his team until 12th April 2016. The restaurant will reopen on 20th April with a totally new concept, new atmosphere and new Chef: Björn Frantzén, the acclaimed 2 Michelin starred chef, ranked at number 31 in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
Björn Frantzén is one of Scandinavia’s most renowned chefs and a perfectionist to the core. Bjorn represents the younger generation of star chefs, extremely devoted to his profession. Founded in 2008, Restaurant Frantzén earned its prestigious two stars after only two years in operations. The reputation of Björn Frantzén’s restaurant has spread well beyond Sweden’s borders since its opening, winning widespread praise for its refined, creative cooking which employs some well-mastered, inventive techniques while showing respect for traditional preservation methods.
