Al-Shehy is responsible for guiding guests on few adventurous experience programme provided at Six Senses Zighy Bay. With his local knowledge, he is one of the best to promote Omani culture and the history of this area. Added to his quiver of specialties are training in First Aid, Diving, Hand-line Fishing and local wildlife.

“Six Senses Zighy Bay is a great resort that is always keen to hire talent from local village and grow them as part of their family. It feels good to be working with a brand that cares about my local community and environment, especially as they plant trees, clean the beach regularly, supply fresh water when needed and making efforts to raise environmental awareness too apart from other trainings like English Classes,” said Al-Shehy.

“Omani citizens are key in providing our guests with a true local experience. The hospitality industry in Oman hinges on reflecting the local culture and value. This can’t be done without hiring national staff. We are proud and lucky to have had Mr Al-Shehy with us all these years and look forward to his growth; concurrently growing more talent within the younger generation of Omanis,” said Aaron McGrath, Six Senses Zighy Bay’s general manager.
