National Bank of Oman drives innovation by deploying wearable & Twitter banking solutions for customers

National Bank of Oman (NBO) has continued its long and proud track record of financial services innovation by introducing wearable banking solutions using Apple Watches and Twitter Banking for customers on the go. The move is the culmination of a series of technological innovations by the bank to further enhance the customer experience.

Customers can now view their account balances with a simple swipe on their Apple Watch or with a tweet. The Apple Watch banking solution works as an extension of NBO’s mobile banking application, while the Twitter banking service enables customers to view their account balance and last three transactions by direct messaging @NBOBank. Registering for Twitter banking is simple, with customers only required to go to their mobile banking application settings, and enable Twitter banking.

Both banking solutions have high-security features inbuilt that authenticate registration on the NBO mobile banking app.
