Serving Succulent Burgers and Freshly-Baked Panini.

If you are a salad and sandwiches aficionado, then do not look beyond Just Grilled in Shatti Al Qurum.

Nestled amidst the dramatic backdrop of Shatti Al Qurum’s beach, this restaurant serves scrumptious and hearty salads, panini bread, succulent burgers and gyros stuffed with grills of your choice. This week we’ve decided to stop by and explore their new menu.

The initial menu that featured 60 items has been revamped and brought down to just 27 freshly-baked signature creations that promise an exciting dining experience for lovers of all things grilled.

We started with a thirst-quenching sip called Summer Cooler, which is a lemonade infused with crushed mint. A very refreshing drink, perfect for the summer.

After enjoying the drink, we dived into the Big Boy Fries, a Mexican spiced, loaded fries topped with melted cheese and a bunch of peppery jalapeños. The dish was quite satisfying. I added extra jalapeños; they elevated the fries dish to another level.

Now, for the mains, their new menu offers a selection of ranges to try from. We tried Just Grilled Original burger off the homemade burger range. The burger was a joy to savour; moist, juicy beef patty topped with mushrooms, onion rings, homemade gherkins and cream cheese, tucked in a soft flour bun.

For good measures, we ordered the Steak Panini, which had slices of grilled tenderloin and lyonnaise potatoes smothered in onion relish, and stuffed in pillow-soft focaccia. Lyonnaise potatoes are sliced and sautéd in butter and a bit of parsley. This combination of tenderloin and lyonnaise potatoes was an absolute delight.

We couldn’t leave without trying their salad, and I’ve got to say. I’ve finally found my salad.
Just Grilled’s kale and pumpkin salad, topped with spiced tenderloin strips is worth every bite. The kale was fresh throughout, the caramelised pumpkin gave it that perfect sweetness, and the Asian dressing that it was tossed in lent it a delicious flavour, too. One of the best salads I’ve had in Muscat so far. Strongly recommend.

If you’re a fan of gyros, try the Just Grilled’s Chicken Gyros, prepared with fresh, homemade pita bread, tender pieces of chicken, drizzled with tzatziki sauce and accompanied with red onion and red pepper.

Will I come back to this place? Absolutely. The staff is kind and the ambience is well lit. And, kids menu and vegetarian offerings are also available here. The theme is self-service, which makes it a perfect spot for takeaways when on the go.
