Celebrate Eid-Al-Fitr at Baros at a Maldives Private Island Resort

The private island resort of Baros in the Maldives is the perfect place to celebrate Eid-Al-Fitr. Just four hours flight from the GCC and nestled in the Indian Ocean, Baros is a magical destination for a long weekend away. As you discover this enchanting island, you can learn about its rich culture, experience traditional cuisine and explore its impressive marine life, while indulging in the luxury of Baros’ exquisitely furnished Private Villas.

This lushly landscaped bijou boutique island has 75 overwater and beachside garden villas of entrancing beauty beside white sand beaches set in a turquoise lagoon, just 25 minutes by speedboat from the Maldives International Airport.

For this special long Eid Weekend, Baros offers a minimum stay of four nights during 14 to 20 June 2018 for two at the Baros Beach Villa or the Baros Overwater Villa with private pool. Included in this marvellous package is daily breakfast of your choice and daily exotic dinner in Lime, the island’s all-day-dining restaurant. Also included are combined return airport transfers via speedboat, 24-hours wireless high-speed internet access, a round of Sheesha in the Sails Bar every day and Arabic evening turndown in your Villa.

There will be imported dates and a fruit platter in your Villa on arrival. On Thursday and Sunday there is a complimentary guided Baros Nature Walk and a Marine Biology presentation on Friday and Monday. Access to the fitness centre is free for you too. Early check-in and late checkout is possible, based on availability.

Baros Culture

With vintage coconut palms, flower-bedecked sandy trails for barefoot walking and shaded glades, Baros is a beautiful creation of tropical island culture. Visit the Maldivian Lounge above the island’s Sails Bar where a permanent display of valuable antique maps and local artefacts help to conjure up the past. Or try your hand at traditional fishing: Baros offers Big Game Fishing and Fishing by Twilight with a Catch Your Own Dinner experience. Here you can learn the traditional Maldivian fishing method using a hand line with hand-tied lures, and have your catch prepared for dinner.

Baros Cuisine

The traditional local cuisine of Baros is based on three main ingredients – fish, coconuts and rice – and can be enjoyed anywhere on the island, as well as privately on a picturesque sandbank or on the alluring Piano Deck over the lagoon. To complement local fare, the island’s three renowned restaurants, The Lighthouse, Cayenne Grill and the Lime Restaurant serve exquisite gourmet cuisine prepared to international standards.

Baros Underwater life

Baros is famous for its amazing underwater life. At the Dive Centre you can learn Scuba Diving and also participate in Eco Diving, while at the Marine Centre you can borrow snorkelling gear free of charge and join guided snorkelling excursions conducted by the resident Marine Biologist. Another exciting experience is Fluo Night Diving using lights and masks to view marine life emitting colourful bio-fluorescence.

The special Eid package is now available for bookings for a minimum stay of four nights during 14 to 20 June 2018. The room rate at the Baros Beach Villa for two starts at US$999 per night and the Baros Overwater Villa with a private pool for two at US$1,499 per night.
